VZOchat mobile is ready for tests.

VZOchat.com service announces the beginning of beta testing of the new unique software for visual communication for communicators based on Windows Mobile 5.0 and higher. VZOchat Mobile application allows users to carry out a video calls to any subscriber of VZOchat service. To do this both parties have to use PC or PDA with VZOchat software and be connected to the Internet any possible ways – broadband connection, WiFi, WiMax or mobile operator network. Minimal system requirements for VZOchat Mobile is any communicator device with CPU 400MHz and higher. Windows Mobile 5.0 and higher is supported. It will be better if your device equipped with frontal camera. At this moment we have successfully tested application on eight devices. VZOchat developer's team is looking forward to update this list during betta testing. To take part in betta testing you have to download and install VZOchat Mobile application from http://mobile.vzochat.com and give us a feedback after testing. The best testers will be awarded by VZOchat developer's team.

today 24/06/09 I downloaded the mobile VZOChat application (I suppose it's the 1.2.8 version - cannot see it on the phone) for my Samsung i780 (WM 6 - firmware PDA i780AIHE1).

The screen remains black during the call although the mobileteam said he was receiving video from my phone.

I also tried the Test Camera and each tweak in

Options->Advanced->CameraTweaks but the screen is always black.

Hello,

I'm using a Samsung I900 Omnia. in the version 1.2.5 I don't see anything on the screen during a call (black screen). the camera is not working and the screen is black during a call.

Installed on Asus P750 with newest Asus_firmware; works very fine through Wifi, but front camera not working, which makes videoconferencing at least somewhat frustrating. It is still useful for demonstration. Any chance to solve the front-cam problem?

Have the application working on the HTC Diamond Touch Pro. The quality is nice, though the lag is considerable: 3 seconds on a WiFi connection and even more on 3G and GPRS.

It's my hunch that the line is clogged by the large video feed from the non-mobile party (desktop). Is it possible to specify the size of the receiving video? on a mobile it seems a bit much to have full screen video if the desktop party then only sees a small non-moving picture.

Testing today on an HTC Touch (Sprint EVDO Rev A, XDA-developers custom ROM [WinMo 6.1]) and it works like a charm. Lacking a front cam of course, but it's still a compelling experience.

I also had the same problem as nteriorz with the client freezing after initial install, however, performed a soft reset and it works fine now.

Question for the developers: Are there any plans for an Android port?
